Twin Falls is the largest city in Southern Idaho and serves as the retail shopping, health care and commercial business hub for the Magic Valley region. The city of Twin Falls has a population of over 47,000 residents and is located in Twin Falls County. The county has a population of over 80,000 residents. With an elevation of 3,745 feet and its location next to the Snake River Canyon, Twin Falls residents enjoy scenic high desert and distant Sawtooth Mountain and south hill views. Major agriculture and food processing employers include Chobani (and the world's largest yogurt plan), Cliff Bar, Glanbia, Con-Agra, Amalgamated Sugar, Henningsen Cold Storage and Falls Brand Independent Meat. Other major employers include St Luke’s Health System, Transystems, Walmart, Costco and the College of Southern Idaho.
Twin Falls is also famous for the Evil Knievel Jump Site across the Snake River Canyon, the Beautiful Shoshone Falls (the Niagara of the West) and the Perrine Bridge (where legal BASE jumping is allowed).
